Classic Sixth

How can we be watching movies like Saw?
I like a good horror movie classic, like The Shining, Poltergeist, The Sixth Sense. But I can not understand why people would go to see movies like Saw? I can not bear to see others who submits to no! Why go to the movies well?
I do not know why, I just always liked scary movies and scared the crap out of me, so I enjoyed it. I saw Hostel but a little and I lost my joy for splatter films, pus coming out of one eye was too much.
