 Teledyne Technologies Incorporated (NYSE: TDY: 63.01, -1.23, -1.91%) announced today that its subsidiary, Teledyne Limited, has completed the acquisition of signature defense electronics of Filtronic PLC for GBP 13.0 million (approximately $ 24.3 million). Defense Electronics Company, based mainly in Shipley, United Kingdom, provides for measuring microwave subassemblies and integrated subsystems to the defense industry in general. The acquisition adds expertise in the sub-systems for receiving and digital signal processing, is consistent with Teledyne's strategy to offer more highly sub-microwave integrated defense customers.
 Filtronic's defense electronics business designs and manufactures a range of microwave products for radar, electronic support measures and cons of measures used to protect modern electronic systems for military platforms against hostile threats. The company is recognized for providing the complex opposite receptor final microwave subsystems, including instantaneous frequency measurement (IFM) based subsystems and customized multifunction assemblies. The company has achieved Defense Electronics sales of EUR 14.5 million for the fiscal year ended 31 May 2008.
